Socratease quizzes are simpler to take on AutoProctor compared to Google Forms or Microsoft Forms tests. There is only one submit button, so there is no risk of losing your answers by clicking buttons in the wrong order.

Try the Demo Test First

Practice with a sample proctored Socratease quiz before your actual test to verify everything works on your device.
1

Open the demo test link

Visit the AutoProctor proctored demo test on the device and browser you plan to use for your actual test.
2

Grant camera and microphone access

When prompted, allow AutoProctor to access your camera and microphone. Proctored tests require both to function.
3

Complete the demo

Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm that your device, browser, camera, and microphone are all compatible.
4

Troubleshoot if needed

If the demo does not load, your device may not meet the minimum requirements. See Device Compatibility for the full list of supported configurations.
If the demo test loads successfully on your device, any Socratease quiz your administrator assigns you will load too.

Browser and Device Requirements

DeviceBrowserMinimum Version
iPhone / iPadSafari13+
Windows / Android / MacGoogle Chrome83+
  • Update your browser to the latest version if you are running an older release.
  • Your device should ideally be less than 3 years old.
  • AutoProctor runs AI algorithms on your camera and audio feeds in real time, which requires significant processing power.
  • Your device may handle everyday apps well but still struggle with the additional demands of real-time proctoring. If AutoProctor does not work on your device, you will need to switch to a more powerful device.
If the demo test fails to load on your device, your device does not support AutoProctor. You will need to use a different device with better hardware specifications.
