Tags are metadata labels you add to quiz questions to organize, classify, and filter your test results. They help you break down candidate performance by subject, skill, difficulty, or any other category you define.
Tags are visible to candidates during the test. Keep tag names professional and informative (e.g., math, Python, section-A).

What Can You Do with Tags?

Tags work across both Quizzes and Question Banks. Once you tag your questions, the quiz report gives you two powerful capabilities:
  • Filter questions by specific tags to see only the results for those questions
  • Group questions by tags for organized viewing and analysis
Example tags include:
  • Subject categorization: english, history, math
  • Skill identification: Python, JavaScript, SQL
  • Difficulty designation: easy, medium, hard

How to Use Tags

1

Create or Open a Socratease Quiz

Create a new Socratease Quiz on AutoProctor, or open an existing one.
2

Add Tags to Questions

After adding a question, click the three-dot menu on the top right of the question. Enter the tag name in the text box that says “Add tag & Press Enter” and press Enter to add it. You can add multiple tags to a single question.
3

Save the Quiz

Save your quiz after adding all tags. Tags persist with the question and carry through to results.
4

View Results Grouped by Tags

After candidates submit the test, open the test results. Use the “Group By” dropdown and select Tags to view questions organized by their respective tags.
5

Filter Results by Tag

Use the “Filter by Tag” dropdown to select individual tags and display only the questions with those specific tags. This lets you analyze performance on specific topics or skills.
