# One-Time Subscription for Infrequent Use

> Learn how to use AutoProctor for a single event or infrequent exams without committing to an ongoing subscription by subscribing and cancelling.

AutoProctor requires an active subscription to function, which means monthly, quarterly, or yearly payments. However, if you only need AutoProctor for a single event -- such as an annual exam or a one-off hiring assessment -- you can use a simple subscribe-and-cancel workflow to pay for only one billing cycle.

## How It Works

    Visit the [Pricing Page](https://www.autoproctor.co/pricing/) and subscribe to a monthly plan a few days before your exam. Choose the plan tier (Standard, Premium, or Elite) based on the features you need.

    If the credits included with your plan are not enough, purchase additional credits through Test Packs. See [Payments and Credits Explained](/payments-and-credits) for details.

  <Step title="Conduct your exam">
    Create your test, share the link with candidates, and run your exam. You have full access to all features included in your plan.

  <Step title="Download your results">
    After the exam, download all results and proctoring reports. Make sure you have everything you need before cancelling.

      After your subscription expires, you lose access to full test results and your credit balance resets to 0. Download all results before cancellation takes effect.

  Even after cancellation, your subscription remains active for the full billing period from the date of purchase. For example, if you subscribed on March 1st, you retain full access until March 31st regardless of when you cancel.
