# Delete Your Account and Data

> See everything AutoProctor holds under your email, delete what you can yourself, and find out who to ask for the rest.

> [!TIP]
>
> Sign in at [autoproctor.co/account/my-data](https://www.autoproctor.co/account/my-data/). The page lists your data in three groups and tells you, for each, whether you can delete it yourself, request it from us, or need to ask the examiner who ran the test.

## See Your Data

**1. Sign in**

Open [autoproctor.co/account/my-data](https://www.autoproctor.co/account/my-data/) and sign in with the email you want to check. Google, Microsoft and the emailed login code all work.

**2. Read the three groups**

The page covers **every AutoProctor account under that email**, whichever way you signed in. Each group says who controls the data and what happens next.

## Who Can Delete What

AutoProctor stores exam data on behalf of the examiner who created the test. That examiner decides what is collected and when it is deleted, so the answer depends on who ran the test. See our [privacy policy](https://www.autoproctor.co/privacy-policy/) for the full terms.

| Your data | Who controls it | How to delete it |
| - | - | - |
| Attempts on AutoProctor's **demo tests** | AutoProctor | Click **Delete my demo attempts** on the page. Done immediately. |
| Your account, if you have **no tests** and no attempts on another examiner's test | AutoProctor | Click **Delete my account** and type your email to confirm. Your account, demo attempts and team membership are deleted immediately and you are signed out. |
| Tests **you created** and your candidates' attempts, your team, your account | AutoProctor | Click **Copy request text** and email it from that address to [privacy@autoproctor.co](mailto:privacy@autoproctor.co). We act within 30 days. |
| Attempts on **another examiner's** test | That examiner | The page shows the examiner's name and email. Ask them; they can delete your attempt from their results page. |

> [!NOTE]
>
> If the same email has both created tests and taken someone else's test, your account stays as a candidate account after we delete your examiner data, because those attempts belong to the other examiner. Once they delete them, nothing is left.

## What Is Deleted With an Examiner Account

When we delete an examiner account, we remove:

* The tests only you administer, with every candidate attempt and all evidence files (screenshots, photos, audio, recordings)
* Your attempts on AutoProctor's demo tests
* Your team membership (a team with other members is handed to them; a team with no one else is dissolved)
* Your name, email and login

Tests you **share with collaborators** stay with them. Your candidates' own AutoProctor accounts are not deleted, since those belong to them. Billing records are kept for accounting, unlinked from you.

> [!WARNING]
>
> A team with a live paid subscription and no other members cannot be deleted until the subscription is cancelled. See [How to Cancel Your Subscription](https://help.autoproctor.co/cancel-subscription.md) first.

## Candidates Who Took a Test Through Another Platform

Tests taken inside another organisation's own website or app (through the AutoProctor SDK) are not linked to an email on AutoProctor, so they do not appear on the page. Contact that organisation; they can remove the recording and evidence through their integration.
